Welcome to my blog! I am so excited you are here! Here you will find my most recent art, random thoughts, exciting contests, and anything else I can think of! Even more exciting is that you can leave comments and let me know who you are and what you think! I can't wait to meet YOU!

My name is Jenny Brookins, and I am the photographer and owner of Image Jolie. I have loved photography ever since I was a little girl, and thanks to the love, support, and encouragement of my wonderful friends and family, I am following my dream. I am so thankful for the talent and everything else God has blessed me with!

I've always had a spot in my heart for people. I feel like I just want to tell everyone I meet with that shadow of doubt behind their false sunny exterior that they are LOVED and they are BEAUTIFUL and that they have WORTH. Image Jolie-Because Life is Beautiful! is more than just a saying. I really truly believe that everything and everyone has a beauty to them, inside and out. I LOVE being able to give people pictures, and have them see themselves in a new light. I love that God has given me this gift to be able to pass on to others!

Hey everyone!

So, I have pretty much been dying with excitement the last couple months in preparation for the launch of my new business! Image Jolie by Jenny is now Jennifer Creed Photographer! I am so excited to see where this journey has brought me so far and where God will continue to lead! Lots of big changes are already completed, with a few more things to be finished up this week and and in the weeks to come. And I am so so so glad to have my husband Chris by my side loving and supporting me, and even helping me out with the business as it becomes a family business!

This is my new logo, which I am SOOO thrilled with! It has been in planning and through several variations through the last couple months. It was designed by Nicole of nb creative who is just fabulous! In the next few days I will be posting pictures of the business cards and thank you cards she also designed for me! (Which are also pretty much amazing ;-) ) Ahh, so exciting!

There are still a few sections on the website that are under construction, but everything will be fully done by next weekend if every thing goes to plan! Soon it will feature details on different types of sessions, pricing,  client ordering section, and F.A.Q.’s! I am so excited about giving a new attitude to wedding photography and taking it to the next level!

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement over the last year, and I look forward to many more to come with all of you! Keep checking back this week for new pictures, and there may be a contest for the commenters ;-) Woo hoo!

Aaand we’re back! With more important announcements :)

Hi everyone!!

I am back from my wedding and honeymoon and soooo happy to be back to my wonderful friends, family, clients, and blogging! Thank you guys for staying loyal and being understanding during my leave of absence! I believe emails and Facebook messages are now 100% caught up, but if I happened to miss you, I am so sorry! Please shoot me another email if you have not heard back :) Also…be sure to check the end of this post for some important info!

The wedding was absolutely wonderful! I can not thank my friends and family and my fantastic husband enough! I was plenty low stress the days before the wedding (slept till 10:30 the day of!), although I think I was about to give my bridesmaids and mother a heart attack ;-) haha! They did so much, from staying up late cutting and hemming cloth for the tables to taking care of all the decorating to just making sure all I had to worry about was walking down the aisle. I can not even express how lucky I am to have those girls as friends! My family was beyond wonderful as well. My little brother was super helpful all week with whatever I needed. My parents….well, I am pretty much without words to describe their blessing. Dad was just so on top of everything and there and helpful and supportive and everything else a dad should be :) Mom was there and helped diffuse the stressed out moments I did have and overseeing all the decorations and setting such a wonderful example for me as she has done my whole life. Our honeymoon at the Sandals resort in Negril, Jamaica, was fabulous as well!

But…enough of that! I love being married! I have the greatest husband in the world!

Ok and last but not least, I have some very important announcements for anyone has contacted me about booking a wedding but whom I have not received a contract for. My current price list will only be applicable for contracts/retainers I receive by September 1, 2008. I can not say why yet, but you will find out soon! I just did not want anyone to be blindsided :) Thank you all so much for your understanding!

14 Days and Counting! And an important note to Clients

Hey everyone!

Soooo………Two weeks from today (August 1!) I will be married! Yay!!! I can not believe that it has snuck up so fast and I am so excited! I have been walking around all day going “Oh my goodness I’m going to be married in two weeks! Ah!” Haha it’s been kind of ridiculous. Plans are going so well and Chris and I can not wait to celebrate with our wonderful friends and family!

However, due to last minute wedding plans and making sure that I can stay on top of everything, I am going to be taking a short leave of absence from the photography business. All my clients are so important to me, and I want you all to have my full attention, and not my “wedding brain”, which can hardly remember my own name at this point haha. Any orders placed by 10 pm EST on Monday, July 21, I will guarantee to ship out pre-wedding (as long as my suppliers get the products to me in their normal timely manner, which shouldn’t be a problem). I will do my best to accommodate any orders placed after that time, but cannot guarantee them. I also will only be checking emails sporadically, and will therefore be largely unavailable. I will return to full business mode by Wednesday, August 13! I also have some very new and exciting things that I am expecting to launch on September 1, so be excited!

LCA Class of ‘09: John Travis

And the final senior of my marathon senior week (ha ha!), John Travis! I have known JT since he was in 8th grade and I was a senior in band. As with Kacey, my senior girl from a couple months ago, I can’t believe my little band kids are going to be seniors this year! JT is such a sweet and hard working kid, and I know he’s going to go far in life! Without further ado, here are a few of my favorites!

LCA Class of ‘09: Ben

Ben is going to be a senior at Lexington Christian Academy in the fall, and is a super involved athlete as well as a very down to earth sweet kid! So….here are a few favorites!!

Dunbar Class of 2009: Mark

Tuesday I got to do a very fun senior shoot with Mark, who will be a senior at Dunbar High School in the fall. Mark is the younger brother of one of my dearest friends, Tracy, who also came along for the shoot! We had a ton of fun, and maybe it’s just because Tracy and I are so similar haha, but I almost felt like Mark was my own little brother by the end! Haha. So fun. The whole family was wonderful and humored me in my random driving around Lexington looking for good spots to shoot! So here are a few favorites! Best of luck on your senior year, Mark! Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Troy Puckett!

Yesterday, two of my wonderful friends, Megan and Troy, got married. And I am so incredibly blessed to have them in my life and especially to have been there to capture their wedding day. Megan and Troy live their lives for God in a way that I’ve seen in few others, and are such an inspiration. Their families and friends surrounded them in love and the day was just absolutely beautiful. Everything from the decorations to the ceremony was “them”…and therefore who they are in God. The ceremony and reception were at Richpond Baptist Church, and the gorgeous flowers were by Deemer’s Florist.

Chris and I are so happy to have you both in our lives. You are such an inspiration to us, and we cannot wait as we go through our first year of marriage together. I am so excited to get to hang out with you all as we grow together! Congratulations and best of luck to both of you! Have a safe trip to Gatlinburg!

Baby Girl: Danielle!

Whew, busy photo weekend! Today I got to take pictures of baby Danielle and her parents Keith and Melissa! It was so much stinkin’ fun! Danielle was too cute, even though she was not quite in the mood for pictures today haha. My fiance and I were also blessed to get and talk with Keith and Melissa for awhile about married life and life in general. It was pretty awesome haha. C-A-T-S! Cats! Cats! Cats! +Lauren+Matt

Lauren and Matt are married! Yay! Yesterday was Lauren and Matt’s beautiful wedding at Anchor Baptist in Lexington. The whole day was gorgeous! It’s funny how things happen, because I was in high school band with Lauren back in the day, and Matt’s older sister was my big sis in a music fraternity haha. These two are just absolutely so much fun, the whole day was just a day of joy and celebration with them, their friends, and family. It looked like it was threatening to rain most of the day, but it held off. Matt works with UK athletics and was even able to get us into Commonwealth Stadium for a few pictures! I hope you enjoy! Congratulations Lauren and Matt, have a fantastic time in Mexico!

Stephanie+David are Married!

Today I got to shoot Stephanie and David’s wedding with the fantastic Ian Lozada of Ian Lozada Photography! It was such a beautiful day! The ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Lexington was absolutely gorgeous, and the reception at the Hilary J. Boone Center couldn’t have been more fun! Stephanie and David were so sweet and fun, and I was so happy to be there to help Ian.

Just wanted to share a couple of my favorites from the day!
